The Process

It begins with an appointment in the VOELLK Studio, where one can peruse and sample pieces from the collection. In discussion with the designer, concepts may evolve, encouraging collaborative input to ensure individuality.

Made-to-order pieces follow an evolutionary process. Once a preferred design has been selected, measurements are taken, textile options + details are explored, and a formal order is accepted with deposit. A client is notified when their garment is ready for a toile fitting; wherein fit, form, function and detail are refined. Adjustments are noted, details confirmed, and the garment advances towards the next stage of fitting or completion. This demi-couture process can take 4-10 weeks, depending on garment, fabric choice and availability of client.

Bespoke garments, those designed specifically for a client (including bridal), can take 2-6 months. For those desiring a uniquely designed piece or ensemble, a discussion of intended purpose and vision is paramount to a creative beginning. Designs are researched + developed, fabric suggestions or swatches are collated, and sketches are presented to the client for review.

As with made to order pieces, a bespoke garment evolves through an intricate fitting process until the ultimate result is achieved.
